His Excellency the President and ZANU PF Secretary Cde E. D Mnangagwa today said that under the Second Republic the ZANU PF Party is unwavering in its determination to bring about development that leaves no one behind. He said this whilst addressing the 354th Ordinary Session of the Politburo at the ZANU PF Headquarters.

The Second Republic under the visionary leadership of President Mnangagwa has been on a development trajectory since its inception and the developmental projects are yielding positive results as they fulfill the promises they made to the people.

“ZANU PF remains a revolutionary mass Party, which will continue to create conditions where democracy and people oriented, social and political order thrive. Under the Second Republic, we are unwavering in our determination to bring about development that leaves no one behind. The Party and its Government is thus focussed and on course to meet the expectations we set for ourselves in the Party Constitution and the 2018 People’s manifesto. Our Policy to depend on the domestic resources has had very positive results and led to the growth of our economy, without the support of the IMF and the World Bank. 

“We have, as a Government scored unprecedented and rapid successes, without their help. For this, we must be proud as a nation and have more confidence in ourselves and our abilities. We must never be distracted by sideshows of our detractors, President Mnangagwa said.

President Mnangagwa went on to say that there was need for unity and peace to be maintained in order to see sustainable empowerment and prosperity for our communities as people become masters of their own destiny.

“As a Party, we are alive to the fact that for this economic development, modernisation and industrialisation to be sustained, it is imperative that we remain peaceful, united and work in harmony. To this end, the various policies and programmes set out under the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1) as informed by our Party Manifesto, are well under way. These will see sustainable empowerment and prosperity for our communities.

“Furthermore, our policies and programmes are indeed resulting in our people becoming masters of our own destinies, through hard honest work and the use of our God given resources. In every circumstance, let us forever remain alive to those who wish to derail our economic and socio-political progress. ZANU PF is deeply rooted in the rich liberation heritage and our vision for the future. ZANU PF rule is here to stay. We are the only revolutionary Party with an indisputable rich past and a progressive and inclusive vision for a brighter and more prosperous future,” President Mnangagwa said.
