ZANU PF Secretary for Administration, Cde Obert Mpofu has received a four-member delegation from the People’s Republic of China (PRC ) in the country in a move aimed at strengthening co-operation between ZANU PF and the Communist Party of China CPC.ZANU PF delegations have been benefiting immensely from exchange programmes by the PRC for many years and this has helped improve the party from as far back as the liberation struggle.Speaking at the ZANU PF Headquarters, Cde Mpofu said the visit will indeed help the Party move forward.“We are delighted to have you and your team come and share your perspectives with us as far as the Chitepo School of Ideology is concerned. We are cognisant that your Party has done so much to support and develop our training through the school. We are grateful for your support for the region in building the Julius Nyerere Ideological School which will cater for the entire region. We appeal to you to continue with this good spirit of comradeship,” Cde Mpofu said.Head of delegation Professor Wang Gang noted that the visit would be a great success due to the hospitality already given.“We share a profound friendship which has brought us an important consensus between our two leaders President Xi and President Mnangagwa. We are here to fulfil and strengthen the cooperation between our two countries by sharing our observations and perspectives, sharing our experiences on party construction and building and to strengthen the ties between the two countries.”The delegation is expected to give lectures on the 4th plenary session of the 19th Central Committee of the CPC advance the modernisation capacity for governance and the experience of the CPC to comprehensively strengthening Party discipline.
