The Women’s League will today open its canteen doors to the public following the completion of renovations. President and First Secretary of ZANU PF, Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa will officially open the new look 'state of the art canteen'.Geared to provide a wide range of the best cuisines at affordable prices, the Women’s League Director, Cde Oliver Mandipaka said he envisages the canteen to be a viable business entity.“We are excited as the Women’s League for having successfully done everything as planned for the President and First Secretary of the ZANU PF Party to commission our canteen tomorrow. We acquired state of the art equipment and we are convinced it will provide delicious meals. We are grateful to the Finance and Administration departments and all other departments for the support we got to ensure we have the much sought after canteen,” Cde Mandipaka said.“We have recruited staff with hotel and restaurant experience to be able to run the canteen as a strategic business unit. Now that the Party has seconded a projects manager, this will ensure we go a long way in providing food and teas at very affordable prices so that all staff are accommodated.“We plead with our clients to adhere to the code of conduct and rules set up for the canteen. We have divided the canteen into VVIP and open space and we expect our clients to understand this. We further anticipate working with the security department in order to have the right clients allowed into the institution.”Cde Mandipaka highlighted that the new canteen would ensure quality and affordable meals.The ZANU PF Party has encouraged empowerment programmes to help improve the livelihoods of the people of Zimbabwe. This has seen self-help projects being taught to many in order for them to start their own businesses. This has also seen the availing of funding to ensure that the projects come alive.
