The Ministry of Transport this week opened a three-kilometre loop at Mbudzi Interchange Project to allow motorists easy access to Glennora.
During the event, Minister Felix Mhona thanked His Excellency, Cde E.D Mnangagwa for the visionary leadership while urging motorists to exercise caution.
He castigated those who demean their country urging them to love and build their country.
"Thank you for coming to witness the progress occurring at this Mbudzi Interchange Project. There has been a lot of misconceptions surrounding this project with others calling it a roundabout. There is so much work that is being put into this project and you can see the magnitude of the work," Minister Mhona said.
"It is the same with a pregnant woman who carried their child over nine months. Once complete this project will help improve traveling. It is taking too long because of the illegal sanctions as we are not able to access financing. We must exercise patience.
"I would like to urge the motorists to exercise caution on our roads and have the welfare of people at heart. Let us also desist from demonizing our country but build it."
Also speaking during the event, Minister of State for Harare Province, Cde Charles Tavengwa said, "This revitalization move represents more than just an upgrade in infrastructure. It embodies our shared vision for a thriving, connected and vibrant capital city which is the node for economic growth, the Pulse of the Nation."
13 out of 15 bridges of the Interchange are almost complete with compensation of affected residents expected to be completed at the end of this month.
