Minister Kambamura pays homage to hailstorm victims
Sanyati Member of Parliament has visited several victims in Sanyati who were affected by a hailstorm which left property worth thousands of dollars destroyed. About 45 homesteads and other buildings were destroyed by hailstorms that hit Sanyati constituency ward 11 and 12 respectively.In an interview, Hon Polite Kambamura said the hailstorms caused a lot of damage in more than 45 homesteads. Some rooftops were completely taken away.“Over 45 homesteads were brought down and rooftops taken in ward 11and ward 12.“I had to go homestead by homestead to assess the level of damage and sympathize with our people.“So there is a dire need for the facilitation of reconstruction of some houses. A few may need foodstuffs but generally the households are food secure,” said Hon Kambamura.Meanwhile Hon Kambamura who is also the Mines and Mining Development Deputy Minister , has donated cement and pledged to pay fees for disadvantaged pupils at Sanyati Baptist Primary school.Currently Hon Kambamura is assisting with school fees to 100pupils across Sanyati constituency.Gaza clinic in ward 17 Sechuru is also under construction with the assistance of Hon Kambamura and the villagers.
