The ZANU PF Delegation to Mozambique today met with Manica Province FRELIMO leadership.
First Secretary for Manica Province Cde Tomas Lucas Chithango and Manica District's First Secretary Cde Filipe Gimo expressed the Party’s confidence to win the 9 October slated elections.
Speaking during a meeting today, Cde Chithango said, "You are welcome to Manica Province. Mozambique and Zimbabwe are like brothers since the beginning of the Munhumutapa Empire, so feel at home. FRELIMO is leading in this Province with at least 80 percent."
Cde Filipe Oliva Gimo, Manica District's First Secretary said, "We are happy that you have come to support us. We are one people and have similar challenges and our enemies are common. Their aim is to weaken one of us so that they can penetrate to all of us. We must be united in fighting the enemy."
ZANU PF's Deputy Secretary for Transport and Social Welfare Cde James Makamba said, "When we were deployed to come here, we were very excited because our relationship is bound by blood. Cde Samora Machel said you dont choose your neighbor. We must therefore strengthen our relationship and use our natural resources to uplift the lives of our people. We are happy that our President, His Excellency Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has been working closely with your President, His Excellency Cde Filipe Nyusi to build both countries."
