President E.D Mnangagwa has pleaded with all citizens to adhere to the World Health Organization WHO guidelines amidst a continued upward trend in Corona Virus positive cases.
The country has registered over 4000 positive cases with more local transmissions being registered.
Speaking during the address to the nation on the 40th Heroes Day celebrations today, President Mnangagwa urged the public to remain vigilant in the fighr against the deadly pandemic.
"In view of the upsurge of COVID-19 infections and deaths, we all need to be more vigilant in fighting this scourge.
We must all adhere to the World Health Organisation,WHO, guidelines which include wearing masks, social distancing and practicing good hygiene," President Mnangagwa said.
"Government will continue to scale up testing, contact tracing and isolating those who have tested positive."
