The Chitungwiza community has called upon all Zimbabweans regardless of any political affiliation to exercise extreme caution and responsibility in fighting all forms of negligence by either parties in curbing the spread of coronavirus. In a wide range of interviews across Chitungwiza, several citizens took a leaf from the call by President ED Mnangagwa in accelerating the fight against the deadly COVID-19 pandemic that has taken the life of innocent souls globally. Solomon Musenaka, a businessman from Dema said in the wake of Covid-19 Zimbabweans should develop a mature attitude which resembles sound health mentality towards the eradication of this pandemic. "All Zimbabweans must develop mature and positive health defence benchmarks towards the fight against Covid-19. Every citizen must be part and parcel of this fight joining our President Cde ED Mnangagwa while shunning those who are trying to derail the mechanisms put in place by government through the parent Ministry of Health and Child Care," said Mr Musaneka.Terrence Munyuki from Makoni Shopping Centre also echoed the same sentiments and noted that, as Zimbabweans from various areas of influence the spirit of unity against the pandemic must bind each other and also more effort is needed in safeguarding the country's health standards. Chenai Munyoro also saluted the President Cde ED Mnangagwa for preaching the gospel of peace and harmony which she said has yielded the spirit of loyalty which is very important to support government efforts in the fight against Covid-19 countrywide. Talent Musekiwa also take the opportunity to bemoan all those who are taking advantage of the current situation and involved in corrupt activities. "We say zero tolerance to issues of corruption which have emerged in this 21days of total shutdown. As innocent citizens we condemn all forms of corruption at every level in the country and those associated should be publicly brought to book,” said Talent Musekiwa from Nyatsime.
