There is something about the anointed that is out of the ordinary.
Yesterday I witnessed this when I attended a church service in Bulawayo of Johane the 5th of Africa International Church where they had invited their Founder Archbishop Dr Andby Makururu.
I have known him to be a man who wants order. I have seen him as an outright man who will rebuke the wrong even if it means his head goes to the gallows. He is unprecedented too and works in ways one can never understand.
He is a father to the fatherless, a promoter of talents and a wealth of knowledge.
What I have learnt about him is to never take him for granted because what he says goes.
Yesterday's event during which I saw the revolutionary Party ZANU PF's affiliates come to gather in support of the programme was something else.
For a church which publicly declares its support for the Party, these affiliates Women in Global Markets for Economic Development WIGMA4ED, Vendors for Economic Development and Witness for Good Works for Economic Development, they found a home.
When given the opportunity speak after being welcomed, WIGMA4ED Bulawayo Province's Chairperson Cde Nancy Madzivire said, "We came here because we know that you are a church genuinely praying for the country and President Mnangagwa so that his vision to uplift the lives of the people of Zimbabwe. We are here to draw from the well of knowledge and gather strength to build Zimbabwe."
Vendors for Economic Development Bulawayo Province's Chairlady Cde Sandie Moyo disclosed that, "Working with Johane the 5th of Africa International Church has been fulfilling for us. The favors we have received are immense."
WGW4ED representative Cde Albert Chinomwe said, "Our choice of Archbishop Makururu as our Patron is because of this man's wisdom and guidance."
In his message to these affiliates, Archbishop Makururu did not mince his words.
"You have done well to come to the J5 church because this is where knowledge and wisdom begins. You must use these your organizations to vigorously campaign so that the revolutionary Party, ZANU PF, which brought about Zimbabwe's independence wins resoundingly here in Bulawayo."
The church gathering brought congregates from Bulawayo, Insiza, Umguza and Plumtree amongst other places.
