Secretary General for the ruling Party ZANU PF, Cde Obert Mpofu says it is the duty of all lieutenants to preach the type of leadership the Party has.
"The Party ZANU PF is the Party for the people. It stands for the people. It has a listening President (His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa) who responds to the people’s aspirations and needs. It is really our duty as his lieutenants to tell the people what type of leadership we have.
"It is a colossal Party which fought for this country. It has sacrificed for this country, and we wonder how people can be swayed to vote against this Party that brought independence to the people.
"That is why we need to also educate our leadership on the importance of the Party, ZANU PF, which is a liberation movement.
"As you have noticed, I didn't only attend to campaigning for the virtue of the Party but I also cautioned leaders in their respective areas to preach the ZANU PF message, not a divisive message which we are beginning to notice with some of the so-called leaders."
