His Excellency the President and ZANU PF First Secretary Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa announced that ZANU PF Primary Elections will be held next week. He also urged the Party leadership to begin preparations for the holding of the elections.

"At the Party's administrative level, preparations for the holding of internal democratic primary elections should begin in earnest. I shall soon be formally announcing the dates of the elections", President Mnangagwa said.

President Mnangagwa said this during ZANU PF's 367th Ordinary Session of the Politburo.
