ZANU PF thrashed the MDC Alliance in the recently held by-elections confirming that efforts by the Non-Governmental Organisations NGOs will not move the people from their Party.Several NGOs have been used to advance the regime change agenda in new tactics aimed at ensuring the people turn their backs on their government. The efforts by the West and their numerous funded NGOs have seen them giving out cash in USD notes and giving out food to both rural and urban communities. It is no surprise to see sabotaging efforts because Former US Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Chester Crocker once said “to separate the Zimbabwean people from ZANU PF, we are going to have to make their economy scream, and I hope you, senators, have the stomach for what you have to do.”However it is these continuous victories that must show the West that Zimbabwe is for Zimbabweans come what may. In Chimanimani Rural District Council Ward 16 by-election ZANU PF won by 1 587 votes while MDC-Alliance had 226 votes. For the Ward 17 Mangwe by-election ZANU PF won by 313 votes while MDC Alliance had 201 votes.Commenting on the ZANU PF victory, ZANU PF National Political Commissar Cde Victor Matemadanda said the victory is a basic indicator that the ZANU PF Party is a people’s Party.“This is a basic indicator that the ZANU PF Party is a people’s Party. The relation between the people and the Party is like that of the fish and water. There was a time when the fish came out of the water but in this New Dispensation, our thrust has been to take the fish back into the water and now they are swimming fully,” Cde Matemadanda said.“We see by the results not only in elections but also in gatherings when we go around meeting the people. There is a growing interest in what the Party can do for them as opposed to the thinking that they would shy away. The people love the Party and want to know how the Party will address their problems.”Cde Matemadanda highlighted that even in instances when the ZANU PF Party loses a by-election, there is an increase in the number of votes cast in its favour.“There has been a generation of interest from the people. Even where we lose a by-election, we lose with an increased number of votes and this shows that the President and First Secretary Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa and Party’s programmes resonate well with the people and have every hope of solving their problems,” Cde Matemadanda said.“We tell them that the ZANU PF Party is a Party that they have been working with since the time we fought for the liberation struggle.”In a tweet to highlight the flip flopping behavior of the MDC Alliance leadership, former MDC official, Obert Gutu said “When you win, @ZECzim is doing a good job. When you lose (and you often lose with embarrassing margins), @ZECzim is captured & is incapable of conducting a free & fair election. Blame everyone & everything except yourselves. Spare us the NONSENSE. Spare us the TRASH.”
