The winning candidate had 23 votes while the opponent Cde Mercy Sacco had 16 votes.
Speaking after the elections, National Political Commissar Cde Munyaradzi Machacha said the results demonstrated that the two candidates are loved by the people.
"The results show that both candidates have a following. From today going forward, we don't want parallel programs. We want a disciplined team," Cde Machacha said.
Cde Machacha disclosed that the Commissariat Department had been instructed to re-conduct the elections and that the elections had been conducted in a peaceful manner.
On her part, Cde Dorothy Mabika vowed to work hand in glove with the women in order to achieve the President's vision 2030.
"First of all, I want to thank God and the women for standing by me throughout this whole process. I also want to assure you that I will work with all the women so that we can develop our Province and achieve vision 2030."
