Addressing multitudes of ZANU PF supporters yesterday at a Presidential Star Rally held at Nyele Primary School in Bulilima, Matabeleland South, His Excellency President and ZANU PF First Secretary Cde ED Mnangagwa declared that ZANU PF is unstoppable and that it is the only Party that can protect Zimbabwe's independence.
"ZANU PF is unstoppable it will march forward as we do so ruling our own country, no one will stop us. We bring peace, we brought peace, we shall maintain peace. No one will teach us democracy, we fought for democracy. The countries in Europe should come and learn democracy. We are democrats and masters of democracy", President Mnangagwa said.
President Mnangagwa also urged ZANU PF candidates to preach peace and unity as the Party campaigns for the 2023 Harmonised Elections.
"Throughout our campaign, whether at ward, district, Provincial level, I want our candidates to preach peace, unity, harmony and love", said President Mnangagwa.
He encouraged Zimbabweans to remain united and urged them to preserve the peace that is currently prevailing in the country that came as a result of a protracted struggle.
"Never again shall Zimbabwe become a colony. Under our watch, it will never happen. It is important that you learn that elections will come and go; but we shall remain united as one nation, under one national anthem, one flag", President Mnangagwa said.
His Excellency went on encouraging the people to vote for ZANU PF so that it will continue defending Zimbabwe's democracy
"Don't be misled, we brought Independence, they didn't want but we defeated them and became Independent. We must vote ZANU PF so that we continue defending our democracy", he said.
Furthermore, President Mnangagwa congratulated the people of Matabeleland South Province for supporting ZANU PF.
"Well done Matabeleland South, by demonstrating that you support your party. This is a vivid demonstration to our detractors. Those in the West should come and see how much ZANU PF is loved", His Excellency said.
He added, "We shall never be divided. They can give money to different groups, support the opposition so that they cause division, but we shall remain united. We shall march forward, building our country together".
