ZANU PF Central Committee member Cde Farai Musikavanhu says the revolutionary Party, ZANU PF is rooted in the masses, and its regard for the culture will usher in the Gutu East Constituency.
Speaking from Ward 16 in the Constituency, Cde Musikavanhu said the Province is taking guidance from His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.
"We are a revolutionary movement with our roots grounded in the people. I was assigned here by the President, His Excellency Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa to come and see the work being done towards the 14 June Gutu East Constituency by-elections," Cde Musikavanhu said.
"He is a former Councillor. A Councillor is the first line of deployees in terms of effecting our policies as ZANU PF through government. Then come the MPs and Ministers and so on. So we are very happy that he won primary elections as a local Councillor. Had he not been walking straight, the people would have known it because he stays with the people.
"So when the President took the decision to decentralize the celebration of national Independence, he was emphasizing the ethos of going to the people, nyika ichivakwa nevene vayo. So we are confident that Masvingise coming from being a Councillor, the people know him and he knows the needs of the people and he will know how to request for the deployment of resources so that the people can relate to vision 2030."
