The ruling revolutionary Party’s National Spokesperson, Cde Ambassador Christopher Mutsvangwa says ZANU PF is injecting new blood in a move aimed at making it popular with the populace.
He said more people are welcome to join the Party as it moves to adopt new technologies.
“We also had deliberations on the issue of Manicaland’s selection of Cde Paul Tungwarara as a member of the Central Committee and I am glad to announce that Cde Tungwarara has now been accepted as a member of the Central Committee of ZANU PF. I want to congratulate him but I also want to congratulate Manicaland Province for this selection which has found favour of the Politburo in the same vein as the selection of Cde Kuda Tagwirei who was selected by Harare Province and became a member of the Central Committee,” Cde Mutsvangwa said.
”This is an injection of new blood into the Party. Young business people who have fresh ideas about how to generate wealth for the country, how to run the economy. Their inclusion into ZANU PF leadership will ensure that we get fresh ideas as to how we can attune the Party to the demands of a modern fourth Industrial Revolution country. Issues of Artificial Intelligence like I have alluded to and other areas of quantum economy, robotics and all these things, they need young people who have exposure to the global business community like these two gentlemen who have joined the leadership of ZANU PF. We want more of our young business people to identify with the Party and to come to the Party and we will create room so that the Party always gets fresh ideas because this is what has maintained ZANU PF’s prominence with the Zimbabwean people for the past six decades.”
