Cabinet has approved the enactment of the Youth Act which will enable government and other development partners to implement more programmes to benefit the young people, the President has said.

“Cabinet has approved the enactment of the Youth Act which will enable government and other development partners to implement more programmes to benefit the young people. The review of the National Youth Policy is underway. Rest assured that my government will carry on promoting the interest of children and protecting their fundamental rights and freedoms as enshrined in the Constitution,” President Mnangagwa.
“All work and no play make Tafadzwa and Thandi a dull boy and girl.” Hence, Government remains determined to facilitate the provision of the requisite facilities for sport, arts, recreation, cultural and extra mural activities. Over and above the Youth Interact Centers, Youth Build Zimbabwe and Youth Chat Programmes being promoted
“These must become established across all provinces. Along with the use of ICT platforms, such clubs must be used correctly to enhance our unique Zimbabwean identity as well as inculcate the values of unity, love, tolerance, continuous learning and service to the community and country. In all that you do as the youth, always strive to be useful, honest, hardworking and productive individuals.”
President Mnangagwa encouraged the young people to use the technology to promote the country.
“I further encourage young people to deploy popular culture, arts, poetry, music, drama and dance to express the love for your country. You must equally use platforms such as your Instagram, Tik-Tok, Likee, We-Chat and Whats-app to circulate pictures and videos that show the beauty of our country and our national brand and identity. Zimbabwe is your only home. No matter where you will end up in life, home is always best.”
