ZANU PF Second Secretary has said the Women's National Assembly plays a critical role in shaping the policies and direction of the Revolutionary Party and nation at large.
Introducing the First secretary to the Women’s league National Assembly ,Second Secretary and Vice President Colonel( R.T.D),Cde Kembo Mohadi said the First Secretary and President of ZANU-PF, Comrade Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, has been a steadfast pillar of strength and a guiding light for the Revolutionary Party.
Vice President Mohadi also said President Mnangagwa has championed initiatives to empower women, recognizing that true national development is only possible when every citizen is given the opportunity to thrive.
“As we gather here under the banner of resilience, strength, and commitment, we are reminded of the significant strides we have made and the challenges that lie ahead. This assembly is a testament to the strength and influence of women in our party, and indeed, in our nation.
“Our journey together has been one of remarkable achievements, marked by a commitment to uplift every Zimbabwean, regardless of gender, age, or background. The Women's National Assembly plays a critical role in shaping the policies and direction of our Party and nation, ensuring that the voices of women are not just heard, but are integral to the decision-making process.
“Under his guidance, we have embarked on a path of economic reform and modernization, aimed at transforming Zimbabwe into a prosperous and self-sufficient nation. His Excellency has championed initiatives to empower women, recognizing that true national development is only possible when every citizen is given the opportunity to thrive. As another African saying goes, 'If you educate a man, you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman, you educate a nation.'
He has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the importance of inclusivity and the pivotal role women play in our society. Through various policies and programs, he has sought to enhance women's participation in all spheres of life, from politics and business to education and healthcare,” said Vice President Mohadi.
Vice President Mohadi also said it is crucial that the Party and the nation remain united, resilient, and committed to the values that have brought the current development trends.
He also commended President Mnangagwa for the unwavering commitment to the ideals of the Revolutionary Party and the prosperity of the nation.
“Today, we are graced by the presence of a man who has shown unwavering commitment to the ideals of our great Party and the prosperity of our beloved nation. His Excellency, the President and First Secretary of ZANU-PF, Comrade Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, has been a steadfast pillar of strength and a guiding light for us all.
“His journey, from his early days as a young freedom fighter to his current role as the head of state, is a testament to the power of determination and the pursuit of a brighter future for all Zimbabweans. As the African proverb goes, 'Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors.' His Excellency has weathered many storms with courage and wisdom, emerging stronger each time.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, today we stand at a crossroads. Our collective efforts, guided by the vision and leadership of His Excellency, are paving the way for a brighter future. As we look ahead, it is crucial that we remain united, resilient, and committed to the values that have brought us this far. We must remember the wisdom of the saying, 'If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.'
