Lupane East Constituency candidate for ZANU PF Cde Phathisiwe Machangu says she will work collectively with the stakeholders in her area in order to bring development.
Cde Machangu was introduced by the ZANU PF Secretary General Cde Obert Mpofu this Tuesday at St Paul's Mission Ward 16, Matabeleland North Province.
During his address, Cde Mpofu pleaded with the leadership and the electorate to go in their numbers and vote for the ZANU PF Party, which brings development.
He also highlighted that this Party is tried and tested, dating back to the days of the liberation struggle during which the gallant sons and daughters of Zimbabwe sacrificed their lives to bring independence from colonial rule.
Speaking on the sidelines of the well-attended event, Cde Machangu said she was asking for the people’s vote as a child from that Constituency.
"I am asking for the people from this Constituency in which I was born to vote for me. We asked our elders to support me in their numbers, and we have seen that the people are happy with their Party, ZANU PF.
We have been given another chance to go through the election once more. The people have raised their concerns, and we will work collectively to address these issues."
She said boreholes for the provision of safe drinking water had been drilled in Lake Alice and Ndimimbili areas, adding that more would be done.
The by-elections are slated for 9 December, and the campaign teams are eager and geared to ensure an election victory.
