Striving for an ideologically sound membership

The Secretary General of ZANU PF Cde Advocate Jacob Mudenda has begun his Provincial Outreach Programme as he seeks to achieve an ideologically sound Party membership.

His tour began with Manicaland Province this Thursday during which he met the provincial leadership to discuss various issues relating to the Party and its administration.

Speaking during the event, the Secretary General emphasized the need for the leadership to understand its role as this is key to the Party growth.

”This interface is, therefore deliberate and strategically designed to strengthen coordination and ensure that provincial leadership remains ideologically grounded and results oriented. The PCC occupies a pivotal position in operationalizing the Party Constitution, programmes and national development policies because this is where the people are. Your leadership must therefore be anchored in the powers and functions of the PCC as provided for in section 105 of the Party Constitution. To that an extent all members of the PCC must be innovative thought leaders capable of translating these broad powers into disaggregated programmes of action,” Advocate Mudenda said.

“Mastery of these responsibilities eliminates confusion, enhances efficiency and ensures that all programmes under Vision 2030 and the National Development Strategy 2 NDS2 are implemented effectively for the benefit of the people. It is through your work in delivering tangible results that the President's mantras-Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo/Ilizwe lakhiwa ngabanikazi balo and that noone and no place is left behind are given practical expression.”

Part of the delegation includes the Treasurer General Cde Patrick Chinamasa, National Political Commissar Cde Munyaradzi Machacha, Secretary for National Security Cde Lovemore Matuke, Secretary for Women’s Affairs, Cde Mabel Chinomona, Secretary for War Veterans Cde Douglas Mahiya and Secretary for Youth Cde Tinoda Machakaire.

The next port of call for the Secretary General will be Mashonaland East and Mashonaland West respectively.
