ZANU PF Secretary for Administration Cde Obert Mpofu has expressed satisfaction at the control measures being taken to control the covid-19 pandemic.
This comes as cases and deaths continue to be a decline with new cases registered yesterday standing at 70 while deaths recorded are at 11. First dose vaccinated statistics show that 2 530 481 people have been received while 1 606 751 have received both doses.
Speaking during yesterday's opening remarks of the Policy and Coordination meeting held at the Party Headquarters, ZANU PF Cde Mpofu noted that corrupt tendencies regarding the same needed to be rooted out.
”We are a bit relieved though that the covid-19 pandemic is finally getting under control. Of concern, are reports emanating from vaccination centres where health personnel are corruptly issuing out vaccination cars to unvaccinated individuals or the theft of vaccines for private inoculations,” Cde Mpofu said.
“Given the opening of schools yesterday's and the introduction of vaccination of 14-17 year age groups, this exercise should be closely monitored. As a Party we condemn these abhorrent acts and call upon law enforcement agents and the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) to drastically address this matter as this is a danger to our efforts and community to eradicate the pandemic.”
