SEVERAL players both in the public and private sector today, joined ZANU PF in congratulating the Party’s First Secretary and His Excellency, President Cde ED Emmerson Mnangagwa, on the occasion of his 79th Birthday.
The messages in their entirety described President Mnangagwa as a statesman, deeply connected to his people, through his servant leadership principle, with an unmatched delivery rate as he walked his talk.
In its congratulatory message the ruling Party described the ZANU PF First Secretary as a visionary, gallant and patriotic leader whose life story was centred on virtues of endurance, bravery, servant leadership, patriotism, loyalty, focus and forgiving.
In part the ruling Party’s message read, “Indeed, 79 years ago, a Visionary, Gallant and Patriotic Leader was born to a peasant family whose resistance to the vagaries of colonial dispossession and oppression left indelible footprints in Zimbabwe and inspired a son who would later on endure his boyhood in the wilderness, toiling with fellow brave youthful compatriots in the struggle for our Independence, Freedom, Right to Self-Determination and Emancipation.
“As we mark your Birthday your Excellency, we learn from your long story, the virtues of endurance, bravery, servant leadership, patriotism, loyalty, focus and forgiving. We wish you a special one, as you lead us towards Vision-2030 through your transformative and people centred policies that continue to change our people’s lives through productivity, productivity and productivity.”
The Zimbabwe Land Commission (ZLC) took advantage of the President’s birthday to reassure the nation that it remained committed to His Excellency’s call for equitable distribution of the land resource.
The Land Commission reassured the President that it recognises his vision “... for land administration and management for the improved livelihoods of our citizens as we celebrate your birthday. As the nation strives for food security while pursuing Vision 2030, we are guided by your resounding call for productivity and production on agricultural land.”
On its part, the Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) thanked the President for his commitment towards the creation of a water secure Zimbabwe. In its own words, the Water Authority said it “…cherishes and greatly appreciates Cde Mnangagwa’s stewardship and leadership; especially his vision to create a water secure Zimbabwe.”
Harare Institute of Technology described President Mnangagwa’s life as having “…exemplified fearless political brinkmanship, compassion, justice, wisdom, tolerance, fortitude, statesmanship as well as the highest level of self-sacrifice and patriotism which many future generations will continue to emulate.
Independent mobile network, Telecel urged the President to continue to strengthen his connecting with the people.
“May your connection with the people remain strong as we move towards making Zimbabwe strong,” read in part the message by the mobile network.
The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) said it was particularly grateful to President Mnangagwa’s “strategic interventions in the Tourism Sector that have ensured that we weather the storms brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.”
ZTA assured His Excellency that “it will continue to work hard to facilitate accelerated recovery and growth in the Tourism Sector and ensure that it adds value and traction towards the attainment of the Vision 2030.
Not to be left out was Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT) who attributed their myriad of achievements spurred by Education 5.0 model, to the vision of President Mnangagwa.
“Today CUT is celebrating tangible outcomes and impact of its innovation and industrialisation drive through its products and services such as winter and summer livestock blocks licks, the national breeding programme, sanitizers and detergents. We owe all these milestones to the vision of Chancellor Cde ED Mnangagwa. The Higher and Tertiary Education terrain will never be the same again,” CUT said.
