PRESIDENT RALLIES THE NATION ON ANTI-SANCTIONS CAMPAIGN
President and First Secretary of ZANU PF Cde E. D Mnangagwa has rallied the nation to join hands on the 25th of October as the fight to have the illegal sanctions imposed on the country removed rages on.
The sanctions were imposed on the country after it embarked on the Land Reform Programme.
Speaking during the 345th session of the Politburo this morning, President Mnangagwa called on the public to
"The expression of solidarity by SADC Member States to our country cannot be overemphasized. The Anti Sanctions Day declared by the Southern African Development Community is upon us," he said.
"We must therefore rally the nation on the 25th of October 2020, to call upon Britain and America to unconditionally lift the imposed illegal sanctions.
"I urge every Party member to utilize available media platforms to call upon for the unconditional removal of these sanctions. Indeed these sanctions must go."
This year the day is being held under the theme, "Resilience, progress and solidarity under an environment of sanctions."
