By Margaret KambaPresident and First Secretary of the ZANU PF Party Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa has ordered a 21 day lock down beginning the 30th of March.Speaking during his address on COVID19 last night, President Mnangagwa said 21 day lock down will be observed. "Starting from this coming Monday, Zimbabwe will be under a total lock down for a period of 21 days, except for essential services related to managing the pandemic, the country is now in total lock down," President Mnangagwa said. " I have directed essential Security elements of the country to enforce this directive. All other markets stand closed until further notice and should it be required, security services will be operation used to enforce this decision."At least five cases have tested positive with one death. Even if our cases are still low, it is clear that drastic measures be taken to deal with the virus. This lock down is subject to review except for critical movement of goods and operation of key utilities among them electricity and water.
