President and First Secretary of ZANU PF Cde E.D Mnangagwa has launched the Visit Zimbabwe campaign in a move expected to boost tourism levels. The tourism sector has been impacted While other countries have taken advantage of technology to launch virtual tourism packages, the campaign which encourages sports persons to market Zimbabwean tourist destinations will go a long way in ensuring that numbers pick up. Tweeting about the launch President Mnangagwa wrote "Today I unveiled #VisitZimbabwe, a national campaign to promote Zimbabwe’s tourism industry around the world. Through a partnership of sport and tourism, this initiative will help to bring more visitors to our country in the coming years." Zimbabwe boasts of places such as the Mana pools, the magnificent and majestic Victoria Falls, various tourist resorts in the Inyanga and Vumba areas and the Naletale Ruins among others.
