_By Shadreck Gurenje - ZANU PF Information Department_President Emmerson Mnangagwa has commended the meeting with the Chinese foreign minister saying it is an extension of the ongoing bilateral relations between the two nations adding that it was fruitful in further deepening areas of economic progression.Speaking to the media soon after a closed door bilateral meeting with the visiting People’s Republic of China, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Wang Li , President Mnangagwa said the relations between the two nations had been further reinforced and would go a long way in cementing the long standing brotherhood.“He is very happy that we had the occasion to go over our relations between China and Zimbabwe on all issues and he goes back home satisfied that our relations are on solid foundation.“What remains is further consolidation and deepening of those relations,” said President Mnangagwa.This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Zimbabwe.Upon his arrival, the visiting Chinese Minister, Mr Wang Li said he was confident that Zimbabwe would successfully solve its economic challenges.Mr Wang also denounced the unilateral sanctions imposed by some countries and organisations on Zimbabwe that have no basis in international law and violate the legitimate development rights of Zimbabwe.He further said, China fully supports the just aspirations of Zimbabwe and African countries to have the sanctions against Zimbabwe quickly removed.
