President intensifies coronavirus fight ….mourns Zim’s first covid-19 victim

 President Mnangagwa has intensified the fight against the deadly coronavirus by adding more measures to curb the further spreading of the pandemic as he joins the nation in mourning the passing on of the country’s first victim.The ZANU PF government is working tirelessly during these trying times in ensuring that a sound and safe health environment continues by procuring more items needed by the country’s health personnel in the fight against the pandemic.In giving his message of condolence on behalf of the Revolutionary Party and government, ZANU PF First Secretary and President Cde Mnangagwa said the nation was robbed of a talented young man who was dedicated to the prosperity of his nation.Zimbabwe has recorded its first covid-19 victim a young media entrepreneur Zororo Makamba who succumbed to the deadly global pandemic.Furthermore, President Mnangagwa announced that Government has decided to add more additional measures with immediate effect chief among them strict health management in public transport, border controls, returning residents, Informal markets and Returning residents.President Mnangagwa also said the measures put in place by government are meant to minimise the effect of the virus on the resurrecting economy the Second Republic and the attainment of vision 2030.“Fellow Zimbabweans, I am addressing you yet again this evening to give further information on measures, which Government is putting in place to contain the spread of coronavirus.“These measures are also meant to mitigate the impact of the virus on our economy, and on our society in general.Since my address to you on 17 March, 2020, when we declared Covid-19 a National Disaster, the worldwide spread of this baneful virus has been rapid and surprising,” said President Mnangagwa.Government has also reinforced fighting tactics by putting a blanket ban on masses around beer halls, movie houses, swimming pools, gymnasiums and sporting activities, until further notice.Positively borders remain open to essential traffic, both in the interest of our economy and informal markets will not be closed but citizens are encouraged to limit their visits to such markets.So far more than 340 000 people have been infected globally by the Corona Virus pandemic while more than 14 000 people have since died.
