Speaking at the 362nd Ordinary Session of the Politburo meeting at the ZANU PF Headquarters, His Excellency President E.D Mnangagwa called upon Politburo members to encourage and mobilise people to take an active part in all sectors of the economy, as well as guiding the Party’s rejuvenation and mobilisation programmes.
“The Politburo is called upon to encourage and mobilise our people to take an active part in all sectors of the economy, from the Wards upwards. After all, it is at the Ward level that our party mobilisation activities must be centred”.
President Mnangagwa also challenged the War Veterans League together with all the other Party Wings to scale up mobilisation programs for the upcoming 2023 elections.
“Now that the vetting exercise of Veterans of the Liberation Struggle is behind us, the War Veterans League is challenged to scale up its mobilisation programmes towards the Party’s resounding victory in the 2023 Harmonized General elections. Each of the Party Wings, along with affiliate organisations has a role to play for the realisation of the 5 million votes”.
The Party was further urged to nurture and assist the newly elected Youth Executive and the affiliates as well as assisting them on scientific and digitisation on mobilisation.
“Additionally the Youth League must be assisted, together with their affiliates to quickly re-align and to be in sync with the present scientific mobilisation of members as well as the innovation and technologically driven development strategy centred on increased production and productivity across all the sectors of the economy”, said His Excellency.
With regards to the National Cell Day, President Mnangagwa said, "It is at that level that we will win the elections against this background and informed by our Party mantra musangano kuma cells all Party members are directed to attend the National Cell Day to be held this Saturday, 11 June 2022."
President Mnangagwa is on record saying the Party must begin now inorder to win the 2023 harmonised elections and that its all systems go in our Party’s mobilisation drive.
