Party members must be taught the correct line of the Party says President Mnangagwa

President Mnangagwa has urged all the leagues of the Party to implement programmes that raise the state of national consciousness.

Giving his opening remarks at the 381th ordinary session of the Politburo at Party Headquarters, ZANU PF First Secretary and President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa said Party members must be taught the correct line, discipline and protocols of the Party.

“The enemy is at sixes and sevens. We defeat them yesterday, we defeated them yesterday, we defeated them today, and we will defeat them tomorrow.

“It is, therefore, a practical necessity for every member of our Party to boldly defend our Party, ZANU PF, and promote its constitution, ideals and values. All structures must, therefore, remain steadfast, united and vigilant in safeguarding our Party.

“Unfortunate and misplaced narratives that seek to distort facts, as well as stir up division and discord, should not be given a footing in our body politik.

“True cadres of the Party are clear on the correct line of the revolution, our Party’s history, values and traditions. Do not be clouded or misled by wolves in sheep’s clothing abusing our rich liberation heritage for their own divisive ends,” said President Mnangagwa.

President Mnangagwa also said the Party leadership from the Politburo as well as Provinces, districts, Branches, Villages/cells are directed to complement programmes from the Chitepo School of Ideology.

President Mnangagwa also reiterated that ZANU PF is a Party that roll-out initiatives that instil the appropriate decorum, values and discipline within the rank and file of the Party.

“Loyal members are ZANU PF by day and ZANU PF by night, not merely when it is convenient, or expedient to be members. At no time should we, as the Party membership, question you about your sense of commitment, duty and loyalty.Ngatizvibvunze patiri ipapo.

“All the leagues of the Party are urged to implement programmes that raise the state of our national consciousness. Party members must be taught the correct line, discipline and protocols of the Party. We are a Party of order and discipline.

“The leadership from the Politburo as well as Provinces, districts, Branches ,Villages/cells are directed to complement the Chitepo School of Ideology and deliberately roll-out initiatives that will instil the appropriate decorum ,values and discipline within the rank and file of the Party,”said President Mnangagwa.
