Johanne, the 5th of Africa International Church, is very much alive in many parts of Mozambique. The faith exhibited by the men, women, boys, and girls in that country is amazing.
The leadership in Mozambique has stopped at nothing to ensure that the people in that country exercise their faith in their creator who has given them the land that their forefathers gave them.
The church has taught them to be patriotic and to defend their sovereignty because this us their heritage.
Their heroes, among them the late Samora Machel and the sacrifices they made, are kept within their hearts and minds because they acquired the freedom which they enjoy.
The coming in of the enemy and the efforts to destabilize this freedom are condemned outrightly.
Speaking during a meeting in Manica Province, Mozambique, FRELIMO's First Secretary Tomas Lucas Chitlango said Johanne, the 5th of Africa International Church, must pray for the President and peace.
"There are many programmes that were there but we are here given the chance by God to pray and we thank God for that. We have been in Tambara, Makosa and Katandika. I have come here with a message from our President, His Excellency President Filipe Nyusi. He sends his greetings to the church," he said.
"President Nyusi is working day and night to make sure that we live comfortably as a nation. He is working hard to make sure that our schools are built so that our children go to school, hospitals so that we get treatment, roads are built and water and sanitation is achieved so that we prosper as a nation.
"We must pray as a nation for President Nyusi so that this development continues and so that we have peace as a nation. We can only pray when there is peace. Without peace, it is not possible to worship freely. It is therefore our responsibility as a church to pray for our nation, Mozambique and our President so that we can build our nation and feed it."
