ZANU PF Secretary General Obert Mpofu has welcomed former MDC-T Deputy Organizing Secretary Cde Mukombwe Dube to the ruling Party.

Through the mobilization of the Huyai Kumusha/Buyanini Ekhaya/Come Home the programme under the guidance of Director Cde Blessing Chebundo, Cde Memory Sibanda and Cde Chiroto have mobilized over 230000 returnees to join the ruling ZANU PF Party.

Speaking during a welcome meeting, Cde Mpofu highlighted that the ruling Party receives him with open arms.

"I want to thank Cde Chebundo and your entire team for a job well done.They have managed through persuasion and mobilization to bring a number of comrades who have joined the Party," Cde Mpofu said.

"I am happy you have finally convinced him to join ZANU PF.We agreed at some point to differ.He was a very influential person in Matabeleland North where he used to be Chairman of the Binga Rural District Council. On behalf of the President and the Party, l welcome you.We are one. We are brothers. We are comrades. Let's develop Binga together."

 Cde Dube expressed his commitment to working for ZANU PF.

"Thank you for the reception you have given me, SG, and my colleagues for a job well done. I have wholeheartedly submitted myself to the ruling Party in appreciation for the wonderful word that "l am here as a soldier and loyal to the duty allocated. His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa is doing.

"It was not an easy decision but this history for me, the people from Binga and Matabeleland North."
