_By Shadreck Gurenje - ZANU PF Information Department_Former South African President Cde Thabo Mbeki has commended President Mnangagwa for the current progress politically and economically which has seen the nation of Zimbabwe in a stable position.Speaking to the media soon after a closed door meeting with His Excellency President Mnangagwa at Sate House, Cde Mbeki said Zimbabwe has shown tremendous improvement economically under the Second Republic and he salutes current efforts being ushered in by government.“I haven’t seen the President ,I have come to Harare to see the President since he has become President of Zimbabwe and I have been promising him for many times that I’m coming because I wanted to come and pay a courtesy call and listen to the President about the country. As you know we had a sound relations.“I have witnessed that the President is doing progress although there are some challenges and I am satisfied with the brief I got from President Emmerson Mnangagwa.” said Cde Mbeki.President Mnangagwa also weighed in and saluted the sound relations between the Zimbabwe and South Africa and promised to keep the current position between the two nations.President Mnangagwa also added that he was pleased to have held discussions with former President Mbeki as their brotherly comradeship dates back to the days of the liberation struggle.The former South African Presidents who have visited Zimbabwe include Cdes Kgalema Motlanthe and Jacob Zuma as well as the current President Cde Cyril Ramaphosa.
