ZANU PF National Political Commissar Cde Victor Matemadanda has rubbished negative social media reports that he is misappropriating government food aid.Recently it was reported that Cde Matemadanda had stolen 30 tonnes of rice and mealie-meal. Minister of State for Midlands Province Cde Larry Mavhima was also fingered in this negative social media report.Speaking at a rally in Gokwe over the weekend, Cde Matemadanda noted with great concern efforts to rubbish his name highlighting that he would clear it.“There is a smear campaign against me. Help me to dispel it by telling the President that all the things here are not a donation but what I have bought with my own money. There are many that have said there is a lot of misappropriation of goods by me. I have been quiet but must rescue myself now. I do not want to rescue myself with lies,” Cde Matemadanda said.“Many people said that I had stolen the food aid even those who were meant to be relaying the correct information. Many government workers are taking sides and part of the factions. I will go and report this issue. We have the role to grow the Party and we cannot grow the party through telling lies.“ZANU PF has managed to keep the vote that it kept since independence because it has continued to fish in the river that it fished in at that time. People must teach their mouths to be responsible.”
