Zimbabweans from across the country continue to express their profound satisfaction with the Constitutional Amendment number 3 Bill.
Clauses cited in the public hearings include 3, 7, 8, 17 and 18.
Those who support the term extension say seven years give ample time for infrastructure development. Some have gone further to suggest that financial resources used for elections must be channeled towards the development of the country.
Representatives from Tongogara Traders Association added their voice to the current discourse highlighting that the seven-year election cycle will allow them to work freely.
They add that the appointment of judges by the President, will guard against corruption and nepotism.
Zimbabwe Delimitation Commission has also been a welcome development for some who believe that stripping Zimbabwe Electoral Commission ZEC of some duties will lessen its burden.
