The Vanguard of the ruling revolutionary Party, ZANU PF has been challenged to remain resolute as the country works towards achieving an upper middle income society.
Speaking during the National Executive meeting held in Harare, the League’s Secretary, Cde Tinoda Machakaire urged the youths to take a leaf from the President and First Secretary, His Excellency, Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.
“As the vanguard of the Party, we must remain ideologically grounded, disciplined and focused on the broader national vision. We must not be swayed by short term politics or temporary excitement, but instead remain committed to programmes and initiatives that deliver sustainable empowerment, restore dignity and create lasting development for our people.
“Our responsibility is to champion solutions that promote productivity, self reliance, industrialization and economic transformation within our communities. True empowerment must inspire innovation, opportunity and long term prosperity for present and future generations.”
He commended the Youth League for “Engaging commu and supporting national dialogue processes around Constitutional Amendment Bill Number 3. Your conduct throughout these engagements reflected political maturity, discipline and commitment to national stability and constitutional processes,” said Machakaire.
“Our President and First Secretary, His Excellency, Cde Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, remains the leader of the Party and the nation and we must continue to uphold the values of respect, unflinching loyalty, discipline and unity under his leadership as we collectively work towards the attainment of Vision 2030.”
He urged the leadership to remain united in the fight against drug and substance abuse as it continues to threaten the future of young people.
