President and First Secretary of ZANU PF Cde E.D Mnangagwa has beseeched the Party to desist from using multiple channels of communication and being drawn into narratives that do not develop the country.
This follows several attempts to use social media platforms to bring or disrepute the Party and its leadership and bring pandemonium to the country. President Mnangagwa called on people to be wary of such detractors.
“I, further, exhort the responsible Party Departments to keep abreast with communications we are making from government side, so that we sustain the issues designed to keep the nation’s priorities on improving the quality of life of the majority of the people,” Cde Mnangagwa.
“Let our message and communication as the government and Party cascade to the generality of the people. There is no room for counter messaging. All party structures must feed from the central focus and messaging from time to time and align accordingly. Hakuna mazvake mazvake. There must be discipline in our messaging and communication approach.
President Mnangagwa urged the Party to focus on the work at hand which is improving the lives of the ordinary people of Zimbabwe.
“I once again urge the Party through the various departments as well as through conversations within the Provincial Coordination Committees to the drivers of our economic agenda, focus and programmes. Let us be wary of chasing after narratives and the agenda set by our detractors. Let us keep the focus on productivity, productivity and more productivity.”
