Youths have been urged and told that they have every right to work with the Ministry of National Housing and Social Amenities and be a part of the sanitisation and regularisation of irregular settlements.
The Ministry is taking forward President Mnangagwa's vision of turning it into a middle income status Deputy Minister of National Housing and Social Amenities Yeukai Simbanegavi said this in Bulawayo where her Ministry is sanitising irregular settlements across all provinces.
“Young people are protected “Every young person who is in Zimbabwe has the right to accommodation, even Zimbabweans in the diaspora. Even rural areas need to have modern facilities. The Ministry is willing to help structures being designed according to rural set-ups. I aim to urge the young people as they are the future.”
She highlighted that her Ministry is willing to have meetings with young associations and their contributions, ideas and suggestions are welcome. She said the Ministry wants serious people who do not sell the land after being allocated.
