In a historic Milestone in Sustainable Development, Geo Pomona Waste Management Pvt Ltd has signed a Memorandum of understanding with the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a move aimed at ensuring improved waste management in Zimbabwe.
Dr. Dilesh Nguwaya, Executive Chairman and CEO of Geo Pomona Waste Management, and His Excellency, Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding at the Presidential Palace in Belarus.
Cde Nguwaya said the move "solidifies a strategic partnership that will go a long way in improving the country's Waste Management and Water Treatment" vision.
Geo Pomona has been instrumental in the strides to ensure clean environs in Zimbabwe as enunciated by His Excellency President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa to build the country. The company has also taken advantage of the Second Republic's engagement and re-engagement policy.
In a 2025 prospects update, the company disclosed that numerous activities are lined up for 2025, among them installation of the Sorting Plant will occur with technicians from Disan, Turkey, collaborating with the company's team to complete the setup.
The company said it aims to take over waste collection services from the City of Harare, with a strong focus on transforming the city and making it cleaner.
