ZANU PF National Chairman Cde Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri says hosting a successful 20th National People’s Conference is not an option.
Midlands will this year host the National People’s Conference and preparations for the event slated for the 27th to the 29th of October are on course.
Speaking on behalf of the National Chairman, the Party’s Secretary General, Cde Obert Mpofu said it is imperative to ensure a hitch-free Conference.
“I feel proud to inform you that a lot of progress has since been achieved. Our delegates list has now been approved by His Excellency, the President, Cde E.D Mnangagwa. Likewise, we now have a Conference theme, namely, Towards Vision 2030 Through Devolution, Industrialisation and Modernisation,” Cde Muchinguri-Kashiri said.
“Let me take this opportunity to thank our Secretary General Cde Obert Mpofu and his team for a job well done. Nonetheless, most of you here will agree with me that a lot of work awaits us, as the 20th National People’s Conference is now fast approaching.
“We need to be more diligent and avoid arbitrary and knee jerk interventions. We must stand guided by the Presidium and Politburo deliberations. Comrades, we hope and trust that we will stage a successful 20th National People’s Conference in Gweru, Midlands Province. Failure is not an option. Iwe neni tichine basa.”
