Addressing people at the fully packed National Sports Stadium in Harare during the Inauguration swearing in ceremony of the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Cde Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, the President said Zimbabweans should continue to defy the onslaught of the illegal sanctions.
“We continue to defy the onslaught of the illegal sanctions as well as the negative narratives peddled by those bent on stunting our country’s development,” said the President.
The President commended Zimbabweans for their strength in their diverse cultures, capacities and competencies.
“Our strength in our diverse cultures, capacities and competencies has seen us realise unprecedented successes towards Vision 2030. Zimbabwe is surely on the rise,” He said.
President Mnangagwa also said the national development philosophy shall continue to propel the development of Zimbabwe.
“Our national development philosophy, Nyika inovakwa, igotongwa, igonamatigwa, nevene vayo, Ilizwe lakhiwa, libuswe, likhulekelwe ngabanikazi balo, shall continue to be the beacon of our pro-people policies, anchored on Pan-African values and norms. This philosophy sums up our sovereignty as well as the collective duty and obligation we have to develop our country and the African continent,” said President Mnangagwa.
