The youngest Member of Parliament for Zimbabwe, Cde Rutendo Mpofu says youths must disregard their background and dare to be different.
Speaking ahead of the celebrations to commemorate National Youth Day, Cde Mpofu said young people have been exposed to so many opportunities which are waiting to be explored.
"We have been given a chance by our President, His Excellency Cde E.D Mnangagwa to represent young women in Parliament and uplift them through the President's mantra nyika inovakwa nevene vayo. We are extremely grateful to the heroes and heroines of this country who fought for our country's independence," Cde Mpofu said.
"I would like to encourage the young people that it does not matter where you come from or how old you are. There are opportunities which have been put in place to leave no one and no place behind."
National Youth Day will be celebrated under the theme "Positioning youth empowerment and development towards vision 2030" in Masvingo Province.
