Cuban Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Her Excellency, Ambassador Yenielys Vilma Regueifens Linares says Cuba and Zimbabwe are one and will always be.
Speaking after a closed door meeting during her courtesy call on ZANU PF Secretary General Cde Obert Mpofu this Tuesday afternoon, the Cuban Ambassador said she had to visit the historic ZANU PF building.
"I had the honour and privilege of visiting this building, which is a building of history of ZANU PF. For Cuba, it's always a pleasure to be here, to be with our Zimbabwean brothers and sisters because we are part of the same history and part of the same revolutionary struggle," she said.
"I wanted to come here because as you know last month in January, the Vice President of the Republic of Cuba visited Zimbabwe and Cde Simbarashe Mumbengegwi was honoured for the solidarity Medal which was a decision approved by the Council of the State of Cuba. Also, we had the opportunity of chairing an exchange meeting with Comrades from ZANU PF in that solidarity meeting.
"Last but not least, it's a great pleasure of sharing with the Secretary General who has always been with us. Cuba and Zimbabwe are one both in our struggles and successes."
