President and First Secretary of the ZANU PF Party Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa says there is no need for Zimbabweans living abroad to come home at this time as the Corona Virus is no respecter of borders.Questions asked by various journalists during a press briefing held at the State House, included if the country was well resourced to address the virus seeing as some officials at the Robert Mugabe International Airport did not have face masks, how the Corona Virus has derailed Vision 2030, why Zimbabwe does not follow in the steps of Botswana and Zambia which have closed borders and if the prisoners in various prisons across the country would be released in the wake of the Corona Virus COVID19.Responding to questions from journalists on whether or not Zimbabweans living in South Africa must come back home at this time President Mnangagwa said the pandemic is no respecter of borders.President Mnangagwa said the pandemic did not give notice when it came but each day Zimbabwe is increasing its capacity to deal with the Corona Virus. He said the virus has no distinction so there is no need for the Zimbabweans in South Africa to come and the concern being given by that country is equal.Cde Mnangagwa also said all SADC countries have not closed their borders to Zimbabwe so the country will not close its borders to them. President Mnangagwa also noted that the crossing points that are not designated must not be used as all ports of entry are being used to screen and detect the virus.Responding to the Vision 2030 question, President Mnangagwa highlighted that the vision was not premised on the virus but a stable economy.
