Corona virus: a suspected case of biological warfare
Zimbabwe is on high alert following the outbreak of the Corona virus reported in the People’s Republic of China PRC last week.Over 120 deaths have occurred while over 1700 cases have been reported. Media reports have also indicated that some suspected cases have also been recorded in some African countries. Wilkins Hospital in Harare which is the quarantine zone has attended to over 50 people that travelled to the PRC recently in order to ascertain whether or not the deadly virus has reached the country.Chitepo School of Ideology Principal Cde Munyaradzi Machacha highlighted that only one country stands to benefit immensely from this epidemic.“There is speculation going round that this Corona virus outbreak could be the work of saboteurs who have targeted the People’s Republic of China, an emerging super power with the aim of slowing down its economic growth,” Cde Machacha said.“Whether the Corona virus is naturally occurring or has been manufactured, there is no doubt that the USA stands to benefit from this crisis as the world will tend to travel to China less thereby slowing down business transactions between China and the rest of the world.“I have no doubt that the USA pharmaceutical industry which has always benefit from every epidemic are already seeing a huge business opportunity. One man’s meat is another man’s poison.“We have great faith in the tremendous advancement in science and technology which has occurred in the PRC in the recent past and we believe that its scientists, doctors and chemists will certainly find a solution to this epidemic as quickly as possible.”The Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe keeps updating the public on the progress being made by the PRC to combat the virus and health officials have continued to issue out health tips to keep people safe. Some of the tips include avoiding shaking hands, keeping your hands clean, avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands and avoiding close contact with people with flu-like symptoms.
