By Ransom Mandhlazi in Kanyemba. - ZANU PF Information DepartmentFIRST Lady, Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa through the Angel of Hope Foundation has partnered American and Canadian investors to transfrom the Doma community in the field of health and schools construction as efforts intensify for Kanyemba to become a town by 2030.The visit by seven investors from charity and other organisations in America and Canada to Kanyemba following an invitation by Angel of Hope founder, First Lady Amai Mnangagwa marked a new charpter for the Doma people as they move to catch up with the rest of the world.The move will complement the First Lady's efforts to transfrom the area, which has seen her introducing and establishing several projects including the building of a health center, building of schools and construction of road networks. Women have also benefited from various empowerment projects like knitting, gardening, orchard and farming of small grains.In an interview following an assessment visit by American investors and the Angel of Hope team, First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa hightlighed that she was impressed by the Doma people's hardwork which prompted her to find new ways to transfrom their lives."I met various organisations at the United Nations, they heard what I am doing to empower the marginalised people, so they agreed to come and assess the situation and see areas of possible investment," she said.One of the American investors, who works with an NGO in America said his organisation was ready to partner in the field of health, building of health centers and provision of medicines to the Doma people.He said he was impressed with the level of hardwork and coordination being spearheaded by the First Lady to ensure improvement of health facilities in rural areas.Various villagers thanked the First Lady for her intervention in health delivery and transfroming the road network in the area, saying the health center at Mariga in Ward 1 has eased the pressure of walking long distances by pregnant women.Women used to walk over 12 kilometers to the clinic to give birth but the building of Mariga Community health post by Amai Mnangagwa which services four communities reduced the distance to less than one kilometre.Chief Chapota thanked the First Lady's intervention in Kanyemba saying the transformation of the area gave confidence to the people.Kanyemba, is among the priorities of the new dispensation led by President Emmerson Mnangagwa which seeks to transform it so that it is modernised.Road construction has already started with the first seven kilometers from Mushumbi pools to Kanyemba already being tarred.
