Johane the 5th of Africa International Church Founder, Archbishop Dr Andby Makururu says Amendment Number 3 will align the country to its rightful place.
Constitutional Amendment Number 3 among other things seeks to extent the presidential term limit from five years to seven years while also strengthening governance.
Speaking about the issue, Archbishop Makururu commended these efforts noting that the people of Zimbabwe have begun to be enlightened.
"I am happy that the people of Zimbabwe have begun to see clearly what the Holy Spirit requires from them. Vision 2030 is not just a vision but a prophecy for Zimbabwe's development. The Holy Spirit in the year 2023 was very clear when it announced that His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa is Zimbabwe's Second Munhumutapa sent to uplift the country and its people. President Mnangagwa has been on that development trajectory as one who was sent to change the lives of the ordinary people of Zimbabwe and anyone opposing that prophecy is doing so at his or her own peril," Archbishop Makururu said.
"What ZANU PF and opposition parties must do right now is to support this development agenda and work in unison. This is the same mind that all African Presidents must adopt so that the whole of Africa is developed the way that God has purposed. I, Archbishop Dr Andby Makururu want to provide myself as a Spiritual guarantor of this prophecy to the people of Zimbabwe."
Archbishop Makururu added that constantly going for elections gives an opportunity for people to deviate from the development agenda as they focus on who will take over. He said it is important to only focus on moving the country forward by building it, planning together and working together.
He said the church has a role to play in this development agenda including preaching, prophesying and listening to the prophecy as well. He thanked President Mnangagwa for heeding to culture saying this is right.
