…Higher economic level relations imminent_By Shadreck Gurenje - ZANU PF Information Department_ZIMBABWE, Nigeria relations are set to escalate following the meeting between Acting President Retired General Constantino Chiwenga and the outgoing Nigerian Ambassador Janet Odeka which will see the two nations buttressing economic goals.Speaking to the media soon after a closed door meeting with Acting President Retired General Dr Chiwenga, outgoing Nigerian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Janet Bessong Odeka said the main thrust of the meeting was to bid farewell to the host Acting President and discuss seriously upgrading the economic bilateral relations between the two nations.“I came to say farewell to the Acting President and we talked about upgrading our relationship between Nigeria and Zimbabwe to a higher level, which is the economic level,” said Ambassador Odeka.Ambassador Bessong Odeka also chronicled the achievements that have come during her term of office and promised to further strengthen the security relations between the two nations in bringing back the joint commissions.“We also talked about a lot of achievements that we made since I have been here, where I have spent two years and a few months.“For example during my term here, we had some high-level visits from the defence section and at the moment, the section is out of Zimbabwe after having moved some years ago but right now they are coming to Zimbabwe anytime from now,” said Ambassador Odeka.
