40 BUSES SIGNIFY 40 YEAR INDEPENDENCE FROM COLONIAL RULE: PRESIDENT MNANGAGWA
President and First Secretary of ZANU PF Cde E.D Mnangagwa has handed over 40 ZUPCO buses to Mashonaland West Province.
President Mnangagwa noted that improving the Transport sector will go a long way in contributing to the economic growth of the Nation, towards attaining an Upper Middle Class Economy
The President adds that the Government remains resolute in fighting Covid19, adding that all Zimbabweans need to remain cooperative and remember the Nation during the National day of Prayer and Fasting.
Cde Mnangagwa highlights that this initiative is part of the drive towards devolution at all levels.
He adds that today’s occasion is an Independence Day commemorative edition as the 40 buses being commissioned signify the 40 years of Independence from colonial rule.
For Mashonaland West Province the day signifies the historic Chinhoyi battle.
President Mnangagwa applauds ZUPCO for the diligence in fighting Covid19 through standing out as the only public transporter as well as a reliable transporter that observed the Covid19 regulations and and maintaining safety standards.
President Mnangagwa further allocates a Bus specifically to Chinhoyi University of Technology.
President also adds that this initiative is a National project meant to benefit every Zimbabwean beyond any differences.
