President Mnangagwa has applauded the Youth League for successfully holding the national youth day in Masvingo.
Giving his keynoted address at the 374th ordinary session of the Politburo ZANU PF First Secretary and President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa said he was pleased to be received and address the multitude of young people in Masvingo Province.
“I was pleased to be received and address the multitude of our youths in Masvingo Province as we celebrated National Youth Day. Well done to the Youth League and the young people of our country for such a superb demonstration of organisational ability and clarity of intentions with regards not only protecting our liberation war heritage but advancing the current national development epoch," said President Mnangagwa.
President Mnangagwa also urged all young people across the nation to take part in nation building programmes and projects which are being spearheaded by the Second Republic.
“I urge all our young people to continue on this very good trajectory and harness the demographic dividend, diverse skills and youthful zeal to propel nation-building programmes and projects. Always remain mindful that Nyika inovakwa ,inotongwa,inonamtigwa nevene vayo/Ilizwe lakhiwa,likhulekelwe ngabanikazi balo,” said President Mnangagwa.
President Mnangagwa also said the youth must remain active and be hard workers respecting the founding the provisions of the Party Constitution.
“I also remind the Youth of our Party to be alive to the founding provisions of the Party Constitution ,values of hard honest work, discipline, patriotism and loyality.Respect for the Party leadership by the Youth as well as sound guidance and wise counsel on the part of Party seniors, is key to a stronger Party," said President Mnangagwa.
