ZIMBABWE CELEBRATES FIRST LADY CHAKWERA'S BIRTHDAY
Zimbabwe through the First Family shared their birthday wishes with Malawian First Lady Monica Chakwera in their inaugural visit to this country after being sworn into power.
President Lazarus Chakwera became the that country's first citizen after an election re-run which saw Democratic Progressive Party DPP out of office.
Speaking during a State Banquet held at the State House, President E.D Mnangagwa took time to convey his and the First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa's birthday wishes for Lady Chakwera.
"Please join me in wishing Her Excellency, the First Lady of Malawi, Mrs Monica Chakwera, a happy birthday."
A birthday note from the Amai Mnangagwa also shared the warmest wishes for Lady Chakwera's birthday highlighting that a birthday cake would be delivered to her hotel room.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police band and invited guests who included Service chiefs, various Government officials among others sang happy birthday to First Lady Chakwera.
President Chakwera took time to thank President Mnangagwa for celebrating his wife's birthday adding that this had made him proud.
